The 2014 Roland Creative Awards Contest once again showcased the diverse and highly original works of talented Roland users. Entries spanned a range of industries and applications, with each of our three winners receiving an all-expense paid trip to Roland's first-ever inkjet user conference, imagiNATION 2014, in Las Vegas.

The winner for week one was Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based StickerCity for their unique holographic, multi-color vehicle wrap of a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster using a Roland SOLJET XR-640 printer/cutter.
Our week two winner was Huntington Beach California's Monster Image for their one-of-a-kind, panoramic bathroom wrap printed on a Roland Pro 4 XR-640.
Taking top honors for week three was SignCo of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Canadian graphics company impressed our judges with an unusual, three-dimensional billboard created for the Vancouver Aquarium.

CorelDRAW® International Design Contest
Congratulations to Grand Prize winner Alexei Oglushevich of Russia, and all of the category winners, in the 2013 CorelDRAW International Design Contest.
Oglushevich's Grand Prize package includes a new Roland VersaStudio® BN-20 desktop printer/cutter. This year's contest featured entries from thousands of talented graphic designers from all over the world, competing in seven different categories.
Also winning Roland STIKA SV-15 vinyl cutters for first place category finishes were:

"I Love Roland" Instagram Contest
At ISA Expo 2013, show attendees snapped photos of themselves at the Roland booth (or with Roland products displayed elsewhere on the show floor) and posted the shots to Instagram to enter our daily iPad Mini giveaway. SGIA Golden Image Awards
Demonstrating superior creativity, design work and craftsmanship, two Roland businesses took top honors in the 2012 Golden Image Awards held at the SGIA Expo in Las Vegas.
In the “Building Graphics - Digital Entries” category, Gamut Media of Brea, Calif. won the gold ribbon for “Saladish,” a bold, colorful restaurant interior décor and branding campaign that included floor-to-ceiling wall wraps, POP displays and other graphics produced using the company’s VersaCAMM inkjet printer/cutter.
In the “Unique Applications - Digital Entries” category, Build A Birdhouse of East Whitby, Ontario, Canada, was awarded the gold ribbon for “Creative Birdhouses,” a whimsical collection of custom birdhouses decorated in digitally printed vinyl graphics, also created on a Roland VersaCAMM.

Roland Race Experience Challenge
Mark Caron of MHC Sign and Design won the 2012 Roland Race Experience Challenge grand prize, a free VIP trip to top motorsports locales and events in the Charlotte area, complete with a “backstage” tour of Richard Childress Racing
Mark earned top honors for his Roland Race Experience Challenge entry, a testimonial on Roland digital printing equipment which was judged “most compelling” from all other contest entries submitted at the Roland Restyling “Born to Wrap” Facebook page (www.facebook.com/restyling).
He wrote, “Since we bought our Roland printer, our business has tripled. The inks are the most vibrant, durable and longest lasting, and when we compare our wrapped vehicles with our competitors’ wraps, there is a drastic difference. You can tell that Roland inks are far superior! Roland stands behind their product with top notch customer service technicians and an excellent warranty. The print/cut feature saves us shop space and allows us to focus on our next design while the machine is doing its job flawlessly. Roland . . . the ONLY choice in the wrap industry.”

T-Shirtforums.com Annual Design Contest
Members of T-Shirtforums.com voted KA Grafix of Fredericksburg, Va., grand prize winner in this year’s social media-themed design contest, an accolade that won the firm a new Roland VersaStudio BN-20, complete with a supply of inks and media.
The winning design, ‘Battle of the Giants,’ depicts the two top social media companies battling it out in a comical, yet intriguing image. The graphic artfully features Facebook as an open book, with its pages fanned out to reveal a woman’s face. While this image clearly dominates the design, it appears to be under attack by a storm of blue feathers representing the rise of Twitter.
With more than 170,000 members, T-ShirtForums.com is the industry’s largest online community of T-shirt designers, printers, manufacturers and entrepreneurs. Each year, the forum sponsors a themed T-shirt design contest on its website at www.t-shirtforums.com.

Roland Creative Awards
Celebrating Roland DG's 30th anniversary, the Roland Creative Awards showcased the best work by Roland owners around the world. Entries spanned a range of industries and applications, including everything from signage, banners and vehicle wraps to personalized accessories, jewelry designs and decorated apparel.
Taking home top prize for the North America region was Gamut Media for their work on the Saladish restaurant graphics, creating everything from the logo and menus to the window displays and wall murals, all on printed on a VersaCAMM SP-540V.
The Latin America regional winner was BACA-DG of Venezuala, for their work on the Alma Mia art exhibit featuring the art of Coral Hernandez, printed on Roland's Glossy Backlit Film with a VersaCAMM VS-640.

CorelDRAW® International Design Contest
We are proud to welcome Joseph Diaz and Fabio Selani to the Roland family. These top designers earned new Roland devices by competing with hundreds of other Corel artists internationally through the 2011 CorelDRAW® International Design Contest.
Diaz received two Roland products for his entry, Steampunk Stella's - a VersaCAMM SP-300i for earning the grand prize, and a STIKA for topping the marketing/advertising category. A second STIKA was awarded to Fabio Selani, winner in the vehicle wraps category.

CorelDRAW International Design Contest Winner and New VersaCAMM Owner

Professionals from more than sixty countries entered the 2009 CorelDRAW International Design Contest, competing for the grand prize, a top-of-the-line Roland VersaCAMM VP-540i.
Oglushevich took first place in two of the contest’s six categories.
